A Few Clouds Wantagh man arrested, accused of murdering wife

74-year-old Anthony Heaton was arrested on March 16 for the alleged murder of his wife, 82-year-old Mary Heaton.

Nassau Police arrested 74-year-old Anthony Heaton, of Wantagh, for alleged murder on March 16.
According to detectives, police responded to a residence on Oakland Avenue for a welfare check. Upon arrival, police found the body of 82-year-old Mary Heaton on the floor of the residence. Mary, according to police, died as a result of multiple stab wounds.
Her husband, Anthony Heaton, was arrested, and is being charged with second-degree murder. He was arraigned on March 17 at First District Court in Hempstead.
