It was a crafting and paint-filled event at the Bellmore Memorial Library on New Year’s Eve as kids counted down to the “Noon” Year.
More than a dozen children under 5 started off the celebration by following along with playful rhymes, like “Hickory Dickory Dock,” and picture books, including “The Night Before New Year’s.”
The group then got creative with separate crafting stations using crayons, markers and paint, all themed for the 2020 New Year. The final countdown ended with a shower of colorful balloons and a roomful of smiles.
