Police found human remains in a wooded area along the Baldwin-Roosevelt border, a spokesman from the Nassau County Police Department’s First Precinct said on Friday.
According to police, the remains, which belong to a male victim, were discovered after authorities received a tip from a "person of interest" that there was a body in the area of West Greenwich Avenue and Wilbur Lane.
Police are currently at the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
According to Newsday, investigators found the remains of a male in what “might look like a grave site,” Nassau police Det. Lt. Stephen Fitzpatrick of the homicide squad told the publication.
This is a developing story.
