Friends of the Bay and The WaterFront Center are again partnering for a Kayak Conservation Cruise for the first of two cruises on Saturday, July 22, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Participants will meet at The WaterFront Center, 1 West End Ave., Oyster Bay, to launch for a guided tour lasting approximately two hours. Cameron Jenness, education director at The WaterFront Center, and Friends of the Bay Executive Director Heather Johnson will be on hand to point out areas of natural and historical interest along the way.

Special event pricing is $55 for a single kayak rental for two hours and $65 for a double kayak rental for two hours. Bring your own kayak and the participation fee is $20 per person for adults and $10 for children under 15. Those with their own watercraft can park and launch at The WaterFront Center.

Proceeds from the event will be split between the two organizations to help with their outreach programs.
