Police pursue Oceanside man for assault on officer in Westbury

Police are in search of 21-year-old Vincent Fredericks from Oceanside, the suspect who is allegedly responsible for assaulting a police officer in Westbury on Monday along Old Country Road around 6:15 p.m.

Officers endeavored to conduct a routine traffic stop when Fredericks engaged in the assault.

Police have linked Fredericks to a string of criminal activities including vehicular theft, evading police, unauthorized credit card usage, multiple instances of fuel theft, various larcenies, and stealing from tip jars from businesses across Nassau County.

Fredericks' potential mode of transportation, is believed to be a black BMW bearing Connecticut registration number 754WOS.

Informants are assured anonymity, with the potential for a substantial reward of $10,000 for credible information leading to Fredericks' apprehension.
