Cub Scout Pack 20’s Blue & Gold banquet was a success and not just because their Chinese auction did well or the guest speakers shared a learning experience or two at Trinity-St. John Episcopal Church in Hewlett last Sunday.
The scouts learned a valuable lesson as the generosity in spirit that was provided by the many donors of food to the event, including Bagel Boss, Coach, Red Mango, Woodro Kosher Deli, Foodtown of Hewlett, Five Towns Kiwanis, The Pizza
Place and Pantano’s, along with a few others, was also spread by the pack as so much food was donated to the banquet that the scouts gave the surplus to Rock & Wrap It Up! The Cedarhurst-based organization then delivered the food to the Methodist Outreach Program.
