The inaugural Hillel Day Camp water carnival at the Hebrew Academy of the Five Towns and Rockaway in Lawrence was a hit with the approximately 500 campers from toddlers to eighth-graders and counselors-in-training on Aug. 6.
There were three water slides, including one that was 30-feet high, a bubble pool, the kids flipped and jumped on a harnessed swing, and ate cotton candy. Camp officials said that this year’s fun will be repeated next summer.
