Hewlett-Woodmere Little League opened its season with a slate of games at Grant Park in Hewlett last Sunday.
The league has six divisions including Lower Grapefruit (spring-only T-ball), Upper Grapefruit, Intermediate, Minors and Majors, and includes kids ranging from kids learning to hit using a batting tee to teens thinking of making the high school varsity.
