The fourth annual One Israel Fund South Shore BBQ and Fine Israeli Wine Tasting at the Lawrence home of Karen and Michael Rosenbloom on Aug. 14 was attended by more than 175 people and raised more than $30,000.
Dedicated to supporting the welfare and safety of those living in the West Bank of Israel, the Hewlett-based One Israel Fund works with communities, government officials and the Israel Defense Forces to fill the gaps in essential medical, social, recreational and preventive security services.
At the barbecue, Marc Prowisor, One Israel’s security projects director, presented an update about the impact the recently purchased high-tech cameras and bulletproof vests have had on saving lives in that area of Israel.
