The Pot Luck Bar-b-que, held Aug. 2 raised over $2,000 for the Doris Vine Memorial Fund for Children at the Peninsula Counseling Center. The money collected will be used to assist children and families with children who are uninsured.

Hosted at the home of Wendie and Joey Ciorciari in East Rockaway, 65 guests paid a donation of $30 each and enjoyed a summer barbeque and swimming.

The Ciorciaris have been supporters for the PCC for more than 20 years and this year will received the 2013 PCC Humanitarian Award at the PCC’s fundraiser, “A Tasteful Evening” in October.

Attendees dined on ribs, steak, chicken, hamburgers and hot dogs, along with assorted salads, side dishes, beverages and desserts.
