Overcast Hewlett-Lawrence Soccer Club party scores at the Shores

The Hewlett-Lawrence Soccer Club held its annual beach party at the Shores Beach Club in Atlantic Beach on June 6. Children from 3 to 16 romped on the sand, swam and ate barbecued food.

Eating barbecued food, soccer playing on the beach, swimming in the pool and winning raffles prizes were all part of the fourth annual Hewlett-Lawrence Soccer Club beach party held at the Shores Beach Club in Atlantic Beach on June 6.
Awards were also presented to league players, which includes more than 700 from ages 3 to 16. The club also includes a co-ed team, a dozen travel squads and the TOPSoccer program for kids with special needs.
League President Rod Leohard presented David Friedman with a special Volunteer of the Year Award for his raffle fundraising efforts.
