New York City came to Hewlett Elementary School as the school on Broadway and its PTA transformed the building into a State Fair atmosphere and “recreated” such city landmarks Central Park, Broadway, Madison Square Garden, the New York Public Library and the Museum of Natural History on Jan. 30.
The city “State Fair” included a touch of the subway and Union Square chess playing and a food truck that served, chicken nuggets, churros, fresh squeezed lemonade, fried foods, including candy bars, Oreos and Twinkies, funnel cakes, grilled cheese, hot chocolate, water and zeppoles.
