Overcast Five Towns BBQ raises $30K for One Israel Fund

Nearly 200 people attended the third annual Five Towns BBQ and Wine Tasting at the Lawrence home of Gary and Yael Mandell on July 31.
The event raised $30,000 for the Hewlett-based One Israel Fund, according to Scott Feltman, the organization’s executive vice president.
“No more Jewish victims” is the group’s mandate and the money will go to communities in Judea and Samaria to help with security equipment such as bullet profs and other humanitarian aid. One Israel Fund also seeks to help the Jewish people impacted by the Gaza evacuation. There are 320,000 people in these areas.
