H. Frank Carey homecoming persists despite rain

Rain did not stop the H. Frank Carey High School community from celebrating homecoming on Oct. 14.

The Seahawks defeated Mepham High School’s varsity football team with a final score of 28-0.

Festivies were moved indoors because of the inclement weather. A breakfast, served by the school’s Dads Club kicked off the day at the Sewanhaka school district high school. Principal Jennifer Alaimo, alongwith John Giuffrè, county legislator, and Ed Ra, state assemblyman, assisted in serving some food.

The homecoming court was honored during the festivities, with T.J. Wakely and Mia Vintimilla crowned as homecoming king and queen.
