A Franklin Square man was arrested on Oct. 17 at 2:35 p.m. in connection with a fatal overdose that occurred in Wantagh, according to the Nassau County Police Department.
Narcotics Detectives said their investigation into the overdose led them to the vicinity of Randolph Avenue and Hempstead Turnpike in Franklin Square, where they arrested 54-year-old Jack Gisonda without incident. He was found to be in possession of morphine pills, they said.
Gisonda has been charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third-degree and criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third-degree. He was scheduled to be arraigned on Oct. 18 at the First District Court in Hempstead.
