Red White and Blues Band at The Carltun

The Red White and Blues band is performing at The Carltun’s Palm Court in Eisenhower Park on Aug. 23 at 6 p.m. Vocalist Ric Zivic leads the way, Eddy Wenzel plucks away on the bass, Steven Greenbaum is on blues harp and Ted Wender is on keyboards along with brothers Greg and Frank Delape on the guitar and drums, respectively. This is a 21+ event.

Property Tax Exemptions Workshop

County Legislator Tom McKevitt sponsors this East Meadow Public Library event, hosted at the East Meadow United Methodist Church on Aug. 26 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Legislator McKevitt invites you to attend this workshop to help you file a property tax assessment grievance application. At the workshop, a representative from the Nassau County Assessment Review Commission will show residents how to use Assessment Review’s online tools to file a challenge online or via mail.
