Riding on the top of an East Meadow Fire Department fire truck, Santa Claus made his first appearance of the season at the East Meadow Stew Leonard’s on Nov. 30.

Much to the excitement of kids and families, and the grocery chain’s employees, the Nov. 30 spectacle was full of fun. Santa was available for photos at the event, and team members handed out refreshments, with the help of ‘Wow the Cow,’ Stew Leonard’s very own mascot.

Santa’s arrival marks the beginning of the holiday season at the store. On Saturdays and Sundays from Dec. 1 through Dec. 17, families can stop by Stew Leonard’s anytime between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. to take a complimentary photo with Santa.

And on Dec. 9 and Dec. 10, Santa and Wow the Cow will host a special brunch at the store. The menu includes scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, french toast sticks, and fresh fruit. Each child will be able to take a photo with Santa too.

The brunch is a ticketed event, and attendees 12 and older will be charged $19.99, and those under 12 will be charged $17.99. Tickets can be purchased at EventBrite.com. Those interested should search “Stew Leonard’s in East Meadow.” The brunch begins at 10 a.m. on both days, and will also take place at the Farmingdale store.
