Summer vacation has ended, and students are back in school.
Students reported back to class on Tuesday at East Meadow's elementary, middle and high schools. After two days of class, the district is closed on Thursday and Friday in observance of Rosh Hashanah.
The Herald stopped by Barnum Woods on Tuesday morning to see what was going on during the first day of school.
