East Rockaway schools celebrate Red Nose Day virtually

The East Rockaway School District continued its annual celebration of Red Nose Day virtually on May 21. This is the fourth consecutive year the district participated in the fundraising event.

Red Nose Day raises money and awareness to eradicate hunger and poverty for children living in the U.S. and across the world. The impact of the Covid-19 crisis threatens children living in poverty in an unprecedented way. Donations to Red Nose Day support the mission's efforts to keep children safe, healthy and educated in the face of the coronavirus pandemic.

East Rockaway is proud to come together for those children in need and to make a positive change one red nose at a time,” said Amy Weissman,  a social worker at East Rockaway Junior-Senior High School, according to a district release.
