Snuggly stories

Children between three months and three years old can come on down to the Waldinger Library on Thursday Nov. 7 at 6:30 p.m. for bedtime stories and songs. Poetry workshop with Dr. Opyr

On Thursday Nov. 7 at the Elmont Public Library, participants in this workshop will have the opportunity to write poetry and share what they’ve written with Dr. Opyr, a poet laureate of Nassau County and the author of six collections of poetry that have been published in numerous journals and magazines. Bring a paper and pen. The event starts at 4 p.m.

Readers theatre

On Wednesday Nov. 13, children in grades three to six, will have the opportunity to perform and show off their acting skills at the Henry Waldinger Memorial Library in the Children’s Room.
