A Valley Stream anesthesiologist will be one of 42 men to try and gain the love of bachelorette Clare Crawley in the upcoming 16th season of the ABC show “The Bachelorette.”

Joe Park, 36, is a North Woodmere resident and Hewlett High School alumnus who graduated from Stony Brook University School of Medicine in 2014, according to his Facebook page. His practice is listed as being in Valley Stream.

The “Bachelorette” is a spin-off of “The Bachelor,” which premiered on ABC in 2002.  The premise of the show revolves around a single bachelorette who begins with a pool of romantic interests from which she is expected to select a husband. During the season, the bachelorette eliminates candidates each week, eventually leading to a marriage proposal to her final selection at the end of the season.

Park could not be reached for comment, as ABC public relations officials noted that their guidelines state that none of the men, or their friends and families, are allowed to be interviewed until after they are eliminated from the show.

The season is expected to premiere on Tuesday, and will continue every Tuesday night at 8 p.m. on ABC.
