Celebrate: Pete the Cat at the library

Children in kindergarten through second-grade can celebrate the popular children’s book character Pete the Cat with games and activities on Jan. 20 at 11 a.m. at the Henry Waldinger Memorial Library. Registration is required with preference given to Valley Stream library cardholders.

Introduction to eBay at Elmont

Elmont Library cardholders can learn how to buy and sell items on eBay at the Elmont Memorial Library on Jan. 20 at 10 a.m. Some of the topics that will be covered include creating an account, checking the reliability of sellers and buyers and online safety. Social Security discussion at the library

There will be a discussion on the new rules for Social Security at the Henry Waldinger Memorial Library on Jan. 23 at 6:30 p.m. The discussion will cover how adults can benefit from the new rules. In a ‘New York State of Mind’
