Clear Stream Avenue School gets Makerspace grant

Clear Stream Avenue School recently received a $5,000 grant from Lowe’s Toolbox for Education to help build the school’s Makerspace program.

“The grant is intended to build our students’ knowledge of coding and engineering technology that will then be placed into our Makerspace,” Principal John Singleton said at the District 30 Board of Education meeting on Jan. 28.

Singleton applied for the grant, which seeks to help educators through educational challenges, over the summer. Forest Road School and Shaw Avenue won the grant in years past.
