Three men arrested for robbery at gunpoint in Elmont

Three men, two of whom are from Elmont, were arrested for allegedly robbing a driver at gunpoint on April 29 at 2:15 a.m.

According to detectives, a 25-year-old male victim was in his vehicle near the intersection of Kirkman Avenue and Blossom Street at the time, when three male suspects inside a silver 2002 Jaguar approached the vehicle. Deshawn Foy, 30, of St. Albans; and Inmouni Gooden, 25, of Elmont, then exited the car, police reported, and opened the victim’s car doors. They then both allegedly pointed firearms at the victim, and demanded all of his money. The victim complied, police said, and gave them an unknown amount of money. Foy and Gooden then allegedly returned to the Jaguar, driven by Michael Myrie, of Elmont; and all three fled northbound on Kirkman Avenue.

Police responded to the scene a short time later, and found the Jaguar at the McDonalds on Hempstead Turnpike, where all three suspects were arrested without incident.

Myrie is charged with three counts of robbery in the second-degree, criminal possession of a firearm, criminal possession of a weapon in the second-degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the third-degree and aggravated unlicensed operation in the first-degree. Gooden, meanwhile, is charged with robbery in the first degree, two counts of robbery in the second-degree, criminal possession of a firearm, criminal possession of a weapon in the second-degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the third-degree and aggravated unlicensed operation in the first-degree. And Foy is charged with three counts of robbery in the second-degree, criminal possession of a firearm, criminal possession of a weapon in the second-degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the third-degree and aggravated unlicensed operation in the first-degree.

All three suspects are scheduled to be arraigned on April 30 in Mineola.
