Meagan Meehan Art Show

Throughout the month, art gallery at the Malverne Public Library will feature Meagan Meehan’s artwork. Journey from Johannesburg

Take a musical journey South African-born singer-songwriter Toby Tobias at the West Hempstead Public Library on Sunday, Feb. 23, from 2 to 3:15 p.m. In this unique visual presentation with original songs, Tobias will recount his travels to Israel and then to New York, where he became an American citizen. Movie at the Lakeview Library

The Lakeview Public Library will feature the award-winning biographical film, “Hidden Figures”, on Thursday, Feb. 27, from 5:30 to 7:45 p.m. The 2016 film shares the story of three African-American women at NASA, who serve as the brains behind astronaut John Glenn’s launch into orbit. Elephant & Piggie on stage

Elephant & Piggie will perform on the Long Island Children’s Museum stage, in “Elephant & Piggie’s We Are in a Play,” Wednesday through Friday, Feb. 25-28, at 10 a.m. and noon. Adapted from Mo Willems’s award-winning books, this musical adventure will have audiences dancing in their seats. It’s a stylish introduction to theater for young audiences.
