Island Park to host uncontested village election; Oceanside sanitation to host contested election on Sept. 15

Polls will be open in the Village of Island Park on Sept. 15 for an uncontested election where two village trustees will seek re-election.

Trustees Irene Naudis and Barbara Volpe-Ried are running to regain their seats. Polls will be open from noon to 9 p.m. in trailers at 127 and 440 Long Beach Road.

Oceanside Sanitation District 7 will also host an election on Sept. 15 at its headquarters at 90 Mott St. from 3 to 10 p.m. 

Incumbent John Mannone will vie with Nancy Baxter for a five-year term, while incumbent Ryan Hemsley will take on challenger Dawn Veit for a two-year term.
