Dozens of residents embraced the mystery in life when they attended the Historical Society of East Rockaway and Lynbrook’s 16th annual Winter Tea event, which had a Nancy Drew theme.
The Historical Society’s executive members helped lead the event. They included Mary Colway, the event chair, President Patrica Sympson, Director Bob Sympson, Executive Director Madeline Pearson, Treasurer Thea Costabile and Maria Burke.
In addition to tea, the event included scones, raffles and games, including a Nancy Drew trivia game. Guests were also invited to use their magnifying glasses to act as detectives.
Girl Scouts from Lynbrook North and South middle schools volunteered their time and services to the party, pouring fresh tea and serving scones to guests at their tables throughout the afternoon.
