Nassau County police officers arrested a Bellmore man who allegedly stabbed another man in his home on Boundary Road early Sunday morning.
According to detectives, police responded to reports of an injured person at 2800 Boundary Road in south Bellmore around 1 a.m. on Dec. 6. Inside the home, officers found a 38-year-old man who had been stabbed “multiple” times, according to an NCPD release.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. He is in stable condition.
A subsequent investigation found the victim was in an altercation with 54-year-old Anthony Trentacosta, of 2800 Boundary Road. Trentacosta was arrested without incident at 5 a.m. on Dec. 6. He was charged with second-degree assault and third-degree weapon possession, and will be arraigned when medically practical, police said.
