Calling all Rockville Centre musicians — the Chamber of Commerce’s second annual Playing on the Porch event is a go.

Music makers of all genres are invited to play from their front porch or lawn on Sept. 12 from 2 to 6 p.m. The rain date is Sept. 13. Organizers are stressing masks and social distancing to make the event safe this year.

Any local musicians interested in participating can email the Chamber of Commerce at ChamberRVC@gmail.com.

Last year, the family-friendly gathering drew neighbors out to hear music at 24 different houses across the village. The event lasted three hours last year; this time around, it will be four hours to allow musicians to both play and visit other houses and enjoy the music.
