Hundreds gathered for some outdoor food and fun at the Village Green on Friday. Food trucks lined the road on Maple and Lee Avenues, and residents laid blankets out on the grass to eat and enjoy live music from A Witch’s Brew.
The band’s guitarist, Terrence, played classic folk and rock songs by artists like Billy Joel and The Beatles while kids ran and played and dogs walked with their owners and tried to get a sniff of their delicious bites.
Some of the trucks included Neapolitan Express, Empanada Queen, Cheezy Pete’s, Green Street Vegan, Bella Torte, RVCFD Reliance Ice Cream Truck and carts selling other desserts, such as zeppoles, fried oreos and funnel cakes.
It was the village’s second Family Night in the Park/Friday Night Bites event. The series continues on Aug. 9 from 6 to 9 p.m.
