Members of the Sandel Senior Center joined local officials and community members on Feb. 8 as an old legend took the stage to sing some crowd favorites.
Robert McArthur, posing as Elvis Presley, livened the attendees with performances of “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Burning Love,” “Teddy Bear,” and other classics.
A busy entertainer, McArthur makes several hundred appearances per year, performing at corporate events, parties, casinos, weddings, nursing homes and senior centers. He impersonates a wide range of characters in addition to Elvis, including Neil Diamond, Donald Trump, Roy Orbison, Engelbert Humperdinck, and the Blues Brothers.
For information about how to become a member at the senior center — at 50 S. park Ave. in Rockville Centre — or for details on upcoming events there, call (516) 678-9350.
