— Surf for All fundraiser

Join Surf for All for its annual fundraiser on Friday, April 20 at the Loft by Bridgeview, located at 50 Waterfront Blvd., Island Park at 7 p.m. The event is for adults only and is $80 per person. There will be an open bar, a buffet dinner, raffles and Hurley Hour giveaways. Live music will be provided by the Zebulonites.

— Little League Parade & Carnival

The Little League parade steps off from Lindell Elementary School, located at 601 Lindell Boulevard, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 21 and marches down West Park Avenue to Kennedy Plaza. A carnival for parade participants and families will be held in Kennedy Plaza.

— Jellyfish Jamboree

In collaboration with the city, Artists in Partnership and the LBNY-Arts Council will host a Jellyfish Jamboree to celebrate Earth Day on Sunday, April 22 at 11:30 a.m. Line up at Riverside Boulevard and the boardwalk and march to National, and to Kennedy Plaza for fun and games. — Long Beach AARP Volunteers Recruitment Meeting

On Wednesday, April 25 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Long Beach Public Library, 111 W. Park Ave., the Long Beach AARP will hold a recruitment meeting. The meeting will include community outreach, advocacy and membership engagement. AARP is a leader in creating positive change via local community service and advocacy and you can do this with the help of hundreds of people age 50 and over here on Long Island. Other privileges attributed to why so many members volunteer: helping others and giving back to the community, learning new skills and training opportunities, making new friends and social interaction, sharing talents, abilities, and experiences, gaining access to special local events, benefits and advantages.
