Community members of all ages flocked to St. Anthony’s 50th annual Feast for some family fun from June 6 to 9. Hundreds volunteered and thousands attended at the church’s largest fundraiser of the year.
The weekend marked the feast’s 50th anniversary. To celebrate, the church hosted a 5K Run on Saturday morning and awarded winners from each age group at the feast that evening.
For all four days of the carnival-style extravaganza, there were raffles, food, games, rides and live entertainment. Plus, children fed goats, sheep and even a cow at the petting zoo.
The feast recognized Ocean Financial Federal Credit Union, a long time sponsor also celebrating its 50th year, on Saturday. The feast was also sponsored by Towers Funeral Home, Knights of Columbus No. 3481 and the Ladies Auxiliary No. 3481.
Classic cars owners displayed their vehicles at the “Through the Decades” car show on Sunday. There was also a special Sunday Mass in honor of St. Anthony on the fair’s final day.
