Sacred Heart Church in Island Park gave back to those in need this Thanksgiving by providing packaged food for curbside pick-up to those looking for a hot meal on the holiday.
A group of volunteers sorted through donations of food, which ranged from turkey and other traditional Thanksgiving treats to fruit cups and applesauce.
Those participating in the event gathered at thte church and wore masks as they packed food into bags and then handed them to people who lined up to receive a meal. The group also participated in a Thanksgiving prayer session while gathered at the church.
