Lynbrook resident Erik Merkle donated 100 bagged lunches to front-line workers at Mount Sinai South Nassau hospital and Mercy Medical Center in Rockville Centre.

Lynbrook resident Erik Merkle decided to give back to front-line workers and those in need of support during the coronavirus pandemic.
Merkle, who works as a field consultant for the 7-Eleven Corporation, worked with employees at three stores he oversees -- in Oceanside, West Hempstead and Lynbrook -- to donate 100 bagged lunches to health care workers. The meals were delivered to Mount Sinai South Nassau hospital in Oceanside and Mercy Medical Center in Rockville Centre.
Merkle has worked for 7-Eleven for 11 years and has lived in Lynbrook for 26 years. "He is a very humble and admirable man who does anything to serve his community," said his daughter, Sara Merkle.
