One last moment of fun at Vernon before high school

Posted

The OBEN Elementary PTA coordinated a 6th grade moving-up drive through at James H. Vernon School on June 15 that the students will likely never forget. With the thumping rhythm of party music playing in the background, students and their families drove in a designated route through the school's parking lot in purple and gold decorated cars. They were greeted by their teachers and staff holding signs and purple and gold pom-poms which they shook as they  cheered and waved to students. Horns honked and sirens from fire engines from local fire departments sounded as PTA members handed each student a gift- wrapped school T-shirt and blanket as a moving-up gift. Congratulations Vernon 6th graders and best of luck at Oyster Bay High School!
