Lynbrook Elks make donation to MSSN in Oceanside

Officers and members from New York Elks Lodge No. 1 raised more than $1,700 along with community members to deliver food and other items to Mount Sinai South Nassau hospital in Oceanside.


The donations were made possible by the lodge members using lodge funds.

In all, $1,388 worth of goodies were purchased, including nourishment bars, jerky, nuts, gum, mints, crackers, Cheez-Its and ChapStick for MSSN employees. The lodge also donated four-color pens to the staff.

The idea was spearheaded by the lodge’s Exalted Ruler Lisa Moldovan. Also taking part were Frank Hunt, Mark Stuparich, Pat Nuzzi, NYS Southeast District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler John Nuzzi Sr., Ron Hansen, Special Events Manager Lynne Nordone, NYS Vice President Southeast District Brian Steckler, Lodge Secretary Louis Mohr Jr. and Vice President of External Affairs Jean Hunt.
