Hewlett-Woodmere School District’s Central Council PTA raised more than $1,000 through its “Stronger Together” fundraiser, a first of its kind for the PTA, that sold a unique collection of clothing items for children and adults that celebrated the strength of the Hewlett-Woodmere community.

The blue and white shirts and sweatshirts that were part of the fundraiser incorporated the years the five schools – Hewlett High School, Woodmere Middle School, Hewlett ad Ogden elementary schools and the Franklin Early Child Center – opened as well as the signature Bulldog mascot.

Community members were encouraged by the PTA to join in the mission to create more unity across the district by  wearing one of the distinctive clothing items. All proceeds from the clothing sale benefited the Scholarship Fund.

In a district email message sent on behalf of the Central Council PTA, co-Presidents Alyssa Honig and Shana Milillo thanked the fundraiser’s supporters and noted there would be another opportunity to purchase Stronger Together clothing items in the months ahead.
