A roomful of residents enjoyed a visit from New York Times bestselling author Jill Santopolo on Aug. 7.
From 6 to 7 p.m., Santopolo sat down to chat with Oceanside Library’s adult summer reading members. Then, at 7 p.m., Santopolo addressed the few dozen guests that came to hear her speak.
Santopolo talked about her background as a writer, the writing process and the inspiration behind her new novel, “More Than Words.”
“After her lecture, there were many questions from the audience,” said Adult Program Coordinator Ocaria DiMango. “It was a fun night and Jill was so personable.”
Guests brought their copies of “More Than Words” and Santopolo’s first novel for adults, “The Light We Lost,” for her to sign.
“Patrons had so much fun at the event,” DiMango said. “It was a lovely evening.”
