The village’s annual Memorial Day parade will take place on Monday, May 27 at 9 a.m., starting at Veterans Memorial Park on Prospect Avenue, following down Sea Cliff Avenue and concluding at Clifton Park.
The closing ceremony in front of the eight oak trees planted in honor of Sea Cliff’s war dead will commemorate this solemn American holiday. The Glenwood Landing American Legion Post 336 will host a Memorial Day parade on Monday, May 27.
The parade will start at the Glenwood Landing Firehouse, 72 Grove St., at 9 a.m. and continue from Cody Avenue onto Glen Head Road and conclude at the post at 190 Glen Head Rd. A brief memorial service will follow.
All attendants are invited for food and refreshments in the newly renovated banquet hall following the parade. Any veteran may participate with the legion’s color guard during the parade. For more information, contact parade chairman Craig White at (516) 671-9731.
