Opera in Ebony: Tribute to African American Singers

This lecture will pay tribute to legendary African American singers who performed at prestigious venues like the Metropolitan Opera, La Scala, and the Royal Opera House. Sound clips featuring Marian Anderson, Leontyne Price, Paul Robeson, and George Shirley will be included. The event will start at 2:30 p.m. at Freeport Memorial Library at 144 W. Stepping back in time

Visit Garvies Point Museum and Preserve and discover what Native American families did for fun, during a session on “Native American games of the Plains,” Friday, Feb. 23, 10 a.m.-
4 p.m. Learn & play authentic Native American games of the Plains region.
