Nassau County police are investigating a series of robberies in Franklin Square that occurred on Feb. 6 beginning at 2:48 a.m.

According to detectives, two black male suspects, each wearing backpacks, entered the CVS on Franklin Avenue that morning, and hid various store items in the backpacks. After being confronted by a store employee, one of the suspects allegedly displayed a silver handgun before they both left the store. They were then observed entering a white SUV that was waiting for them in the parking lot, and fled the scene.

The first male suspect was described as being approximately six-feet tall, with a thin build and a beard. He was wearing a black and gray hooded sweatshirt and black pants. The second suspect was described as being about five-foot-seven-inches tall, wearing a white baseball cap, a light colored sweatshirt, a puffy vest jacket and eyeglasses.

Another robbery then occurred at 3:37 a.m., when a white female suspect entered the 7-Eleven on South Franklin Street in Hempstead. She allegedly approached the counter, while displaying a silver handgun and demanded money from the clerk. After she received an undisclosed amount of cash, she fled the store and was observed entering a white SUV, where the second black male suspect from the CVS robbery was sitting. The female suspect is described as wearing a white hat, a gray hooded sweatshirt, a white shirt and blue pants.

Detectives request that anyone with information about the robberies call Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
