Freeport library begins Phase One of reopening

Posted

The Freeport Memorial Library will resume curbside pickup of Library materials today, more than two months after closing its building due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Curbside pickup will be available on weekdays, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

To utilize this service, call (516)-379-3274, and tell the library staff what you are looking for. They will call back once the items are ready for pickup.

When residents arrive at the north parking lot entrance to the library, a staff member will bring the items out. Please note that only items owned by the Freeport Memorial Library will be provided as interloan services have been suspended.

At this time, only Freeport Memorial Library cardholders will be served.

The library still continues to provide all residents with a plethora of resources online at freeportlibrary.info.

New online programs and events are posted weekly on the site. There are nearly 40 programs scheduled to run from June 1-14.

Librarians are also available to answer questions through chat and email at ask@freeportlibrary.infoand youthservices@freeportlibrary.infoon weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6:45 p.m.
