Three-car crash injures four, traps two in Inwood

Inwood firefighters and emergency medical service volunteers responded to a three-car crash that injured four people at the Exxon gasoline station at the intersection of Sheridan Boulevard and Bayview Avenue at 9:45 p.m., in Inwood on Jan. 11.

Officials said that the driver and a passenger in the back of one of the vehicles were trapped and freed by firefighters. They were taken to local hospitals by Inwood ambulances. Nassau police took the two other injured motorists to area hospitals. None of the vehicles struck any of the gas pumps, officials said.
