Raising the dough at Pancakes for Parkinson’s in Woodmere

Posted

Raising an average of more than $61,000 since the first Pancakes for Parkinson’s 11 years ago, the Bergman, Epstein and Schornstein families have collected more $750,000 for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. This year it will be more than $115,000.

At the Nov. 24 two-hour event at Congregation Sons of Israel in Woodmere, the many people who attended could eat pancakes, purchase raffles, take part in an auction, get a photo taken and listened to EJ the DJ play music, all to help raise money for the foundation that is committed to finding a cure for Parkinson’s through research and the development of upgraded therapies for those living with the disease.
