Jim Leyritz, of the New York Yankees, Jackie Martling, the stand-up comedian and radio personality, and Mike Richter, of the New York Rangers, were some of the noteworthy names among the 2,000 in attendance at PinkTie.org’s seventh annual fundraiser at The Carltun in East Meadow on June 10.

Guests gathered to network, build business relationships and raise funds for local charities, with the main beneficiary being The Stony Brook Children’s Hospital. The evening included food, an open bar, live music, raffle prizes, and a chance to mingle with celebrities and athletes to talk about your business and why you were getting involved in the cause. Pink Ties autographed by athletes and celebrities were framed and auctioned off with memorabilia at the event to raise awareness for the cause.

Other legendary athletes and celebrities in attendance were Cecil Fielder and Bernie Williams, Ron Duguay, Former New York Knicks’ John Starks, Former New York Jets’ Wesley Walker, Former New York Giants’ Gary Brown, Comedian Actor Chris Roach, Stand-Up Comedian and Radio Personality Jackie Martling, and Italian-American Disc Jockey, Radio Personality and Producer DJ Skribble.

Performing was the 30-year local band New Life Crisis, debuting a new song and video for the first time at the event. Some proceeds from purchases of New Life Crisis’ new song will also support PinkTie.org’s charities.

“At PinkTie.org we are always looking to enhance our members’ opportunities to network and give back to the community,” said Mike Cave, Founder of PinkTie.org.

Giving back to the community is a key part of the PinkTie.org mission. It began as a small business networking organization before becoming Long Island’s fastest-growing philanthropy movement. Pinktie/org attributes its success to a united commitment to helping others by joining with top attorneys, realtors, business professionals, sports icons, celebrities and others to achieve the common mission in a comfortable environment. Since its founding over seven years ago, the organization has donated millions of dollars to local Long Island charities.
