Lawrence-based Achiezer held its annual dinner on Jan. 5. Achiezer, a 12-year-old Lawrence-based community resource center founded and run by Rabbi Boruch Bender, which works with other groups to help families enduring hardships ranging from illness to financial troubles, held its annual dinner at the Sands in Atlantic Beach on Jan. 5.
Jason and Danielle Bokor were the Guests of Honor. Dr. Jonathan Herman was Man of the Year. Dr. Daniel and Riki Heller were given the Excellence in Medicine Award. Ari and Deena Weinstein received the Young Leadership Award, and Stacey Zrihen was presented with the Pillar of Chesed Award.
