Jewish Education Program/Nageela goes to the movies

Posted

From the flat screen to the big screen, Jewish Education Program/Nageela took social distancing to a whole new level at Malverne Cinema on Dec. 27. The group met for a private screening of Disney’s 2019 film “Togo” and let’s just say people were excited to be out of their homes.

Attendees received the whole movie theater experience — everything from concessions to even a short trailer of the coming attractions at Camp Nageela in 2021. The crowd was bursting with excitement but made sure to keep their distance. After the film, the group continued their fun at Hunki’s Pizza.

More events like these are just around the corner. Such as JEP’s weekly Jewish Individualized Learning programs in Woodmere and Great Neck and their annual Winter Retreat with snowboarding, skiing, swimming, and more are scheduled for Martin Luther King Weekend, Jan. 17 to 18.
