Franklin Square seniors get a little bazaar

More than 100 local residents stopped by the Franklin Square Senior Center’s annual bazaar to buy jewelry, seasonal goods, knitted items and boutique fashions on Oct. 10 and 11.

Funds from the sales and from the raffle go towards the senior center, which is a non-profit organization. “This is where we make all our money,” said Gladys Cohen, president of the senior center.

She added that the bazaar went well, and that everyone who participated was “very tired” after the event on Friday.

“We just hope that next year, more people come,” Cohen said, “because we always have room for more.”
