A Long Beach man was arrested after attempting to resell four Long Beach beaches passes for a marked up price, Long Beach police said.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, resident Damian Davidson purchased four resident-only City of Long Beach Seasonal Beach Passes for $140 from the Long Beach Parks and Recreation Department. Davidson then allegedly posted an ad on Craig's List offering the passes for sale for $250 each. The ad said “With City Beaches closed and island beaches being resident-only I have family beach passes for Long Beach for sale 250$(sic) price negotiable passes good all summer.”

Police said Davidson then resold two of the beach passes to an undercover Police Officer for $260.

After a foot pursuit, the Davidson was arrested by detectives and taken to the Long Beach Police Department for processing.

Davidson is charged with second-degree scheme to defraud and issued a desk appearance ticket returnable to Long Beach City Court. Long Beach Police Detectives conducted the investigation with the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office Financial Crimes Bureau and the Nassau County Police Department 4th Precinct Detective Squad.
